Resumo: The purpose of this article is to discuss the peasant way of life through the analysis of their social practices and the values that outlined the way of life of this social class. For this, a debate was held on the subject based on the survey of the main theoretical notes about this important traditional way of life. Important not only for the peasants themselves or for those who study them, but for society as a whole, since the contradictory recreation of the peasant class by the dynamics of capitalism directly interferes with the way in which its members reproduce their lives, their practices and their values. In addition, peasant territoriality, based on land, family and work, is, at the same time, the mark and differentiation of the way of life of this class in relation to the others existing within the hegemonic mode of production.

Para ello, se realizó un debate sobre el tema a partir del relevamiento de los principales apuntes teóricos sobre este importante modo de vida tradicional. Importante no sólo para los propios campesinos o para quienes los estudian, sino para la sociedad en su conjunto, ya que la recreación contradictoria de la clase campesina por la dinámica del capitalismo interfiere directamente en la forma en que sus miembros reproducen sus vidas, sus prácticas y sus valores. Además, la territorialidad campesina, basada en la tierra, en la familia y en el trabajo, es, al mismo tiempo, la marca y la diferenciación del modo de vida de esta clase en relación a los demás existentes dentro del modo de producción hegemónico.O propósito deste artigo é discutir o modo de vida camponês por meio da análise das suas práticas sociais e dos valores que delinearam o fazer-se da vida desta classe social. Para isso, realizou-se um debate sobre o tema a partir do levantamento dos principais apontamentos teóricos sobre esse importante modo de vida tradicional. Importante não só para os próprios camponeses ou para aqueles que os estuda, mas a toda sociedade, pois a recriação contraditória da classe camponesa pela dinâmica do capitalismo interfere diretamente na maneira como os integrantes dessa reproduzem sua vida, suas práticas e seus valores.
