Knowledge organization baroque theory: Emanuele Tesauro and the cloudy mirror of tensions between epistemology, methodology and society

Introduction: The purpose of the study is to discuss the epistemological-historical assumptions of Organization of Knowledge, understood here as a collective of intersubjective actions dedicated to the representation and appropriation of knowledge in the plane of language, based on the thought of Emanuele Tesauro’s work. The work horizon is the identification of elements on discussion the dimensions and tensions between epistemology, methodology and society, based on a baroque theory of knowledge organization and representation. Objetives: The main objective is to present a theoretical discussion on  the understanding of the boundaries towards  the  intend  relations among the epistemological, applied and sociopolitical dynamics that run into  the  theorization of Emanuele Tesauro stated in century XVII. Methodology: The theoretical reflection is based on an epistemological-historical study  to recognize, discuss and relate the ideas presented  in Emanuele Tesauro's theorizing in the seventeenth century as a contemporary challenges of Knowledge Organization. Results: The Baroque approach of Tesauro, demarcated in its space-time, and interpreted under the contemporary dilemmas of Knowledge Organization, demonstrates its actuality for the reflection on regimes, policies and  political economy of the practices of knowledge representation. The pragmatic and semiotic opening of Tesauro' thinking is therefore a central theoretical tool for contemporary discussions in the epistemology of Knowledge Organization, especially in the social and cultural spheres. Conclusions: The study demonstrates that Emanuele Tesauro ideas of  Aristotelian influence, have a solid basis, in the theoretical plane and in the applied plane, of constructing an argumentation about the symbolic for the Knowledge Organization.
