Active methodologies in teaching the methodology of scientific work discipline

Resumo: Objective: The research report analyzes the teaching methodologies used by professors from the Department of Information Science of the Federal University of Paraíba in the discipline TCM, offered for the courses of the Center for Applied Social Sciences in the academic periods 2018.2 and 2019.1. Methodology: Methodologically, it is characterized as exploratory and field research, with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Results: The results point to the development of dynamic methods. Among the practices committed by the teachers, the following were identified: competitions and games; project-based and problem-based learning; learning between peers or teams; case studies; the gallery walk method, among others. The main benefits of using active methodologies are highlighted, such as increased interactivity, improved interpersonal communication, proactivity, motivation, encouraging autonomy in learning, expanding the student-teacher relationship and, awakening the researcher profile. Conclusions: It is concluded that the active methodologies, combined with the teaching of the TCM discipline have been collaborating to awaken the active and conscious participation of the student in his teaching-learning process.

Metodologia: Metodologicamente, caracteriza-se como pesquisa de natureza exploratória e de campo, com abordagem quantiqualitativa. Resultados: Os resultados apontam para o desenvolvimento de métodos dinâmicos. Dentre as práticas empenhadas pelos docentes, identificaram-se: gincanas e games; aprendizagem baseada em projetos e problemas; aprendizagem entre pares ou times; estudos de caso; o método gallery walk, entre outros. Ressalta-se os principais benefícios do uso de metodologias ativas, a exemplo do aumento de interatividade, melhora da comunicação interpessoal, proatividade, motivação, incentivo a autonomia na aprendizagem, ampliação da relação aluno-professor e, despertar do perfil pesquisador.
