Intellectual influences on information science: citation analysis proposal

Resumo: Objective: understand the intellectual structure of Productivity Research Fellows from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development linked to Information Science, based on the model proposed here to identify authorial and thematic aspects in scientific published from 1972 to 2019. Methodology: presents as methodological procedures eight executable steps to obtain the results. It foresees carrying out the research using Citation Study and Social Network Analysis, together with the investigation of historical and sociological aspects, seeking to understand the intellectual structure of a representative portion of the area with the support of information technologies. Results: presents as partial results the performance of a pre-test carried out with one of the Productivity Research Fellows, bringing networks of most cited authors, thematic aspects, and non-explicit influences. Conclusions: even if in a preliminary way, the methodological procedures are shown to be adequate for the purpose of the study.

Metodología: presenta ocho etapas metodológicas ejecutables para la obtención de resultados. Se prevé la realización de la investigación con el uso de Estudio de Citas y Análisis de Redes Sociales, combinado con la investigación de aspectos históricos y sociológicos, buscando comprender la estructura intelectual de una muestra representativa del campo con el apoyo de tecnologías de la información. Resultados: se presentan como resultados parciales la realización de una prueba preliminar realizada con uno de los Becarios de Productividad, mostrando redes de autores más citados, aspectos temáticos e influencias no explícitas. Conclusiones: aunque preliminares, los procedimientos metodológicos parecen adecuados para la propuesta del estudioObjetivo: compreender a estrutura intelectual dos Bolsistas de Produtividade do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico vinculados à Ciência da Informação, com apoio no modelo aqui proposto para identificação dos aspectos autorais e temáticos na produção científica publicada de 1972 a 2019. Metodologia: apresenta como procedimentos metodológicos oito etapas executáveis para obtenção dos resultados. Prevê a realização da pesquisa com o uso de Estudo de Citação e de Análises de Redes Sociais, unidas à investigação de aspectos históricos e sociológicos, buscando compreender a estrutura intelectual de uma parcela representativa da área com o apoio de tecnologias da informação. Resultados: apresenta como resultados parciais a realização de um pré-teste realizado com um dos Bolsistas de Produtividade, trazendo redes de autores mais citados, aspectos temáticos, e influências não explícitas.
