Resumo: | The beef tallow and cooking oil come as a great alternative raw materials for biodiesel production. In addition to having a low cost, the frying oil also helps to reduce the acidity of sebum. The work aimed to the formation of blends for the production of biodiesel by transesterification process is aiming to achieve a biofuel from waste recycling, able to replace with the same efficiency of diesel oil. The raw materials were subjected to a treatment and then the characterization of oil and tallow was performed. The mixtures were produced by varying the blends from 1 to 24 g / mol, 25g/mol total. the blends remained liquid after 30 m to -5 ° C, followed by 24 hours at 25 ° C were characterized according to the methodology of acidity analysis, moisture content, density and saponification. The blends were characterized and subjected to a transesterification reaction, with sulfuric acid used as catalyst. The reaction product step a rota-evaporator, washing, drying and analysis of quality control, to obtain significant results that were considered good and classified according to the standards. The blends called 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 showed results within the standards required by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels, thus the gas chromatography was performed to verify the efficiency of conversion occurring in each reaction and so was possible see that only the number mixture 3 was above 96% conversion, which is required by the ANP, classifying it then as the best combination for this job. It then emerged from the results, the feasibility of use of the blends for the production of ethyl esters which can be classified as biodiesel. |

It then emerged from the results, the feasibility of use of the blends for the production of ethyl esters which can be classified as biodiesel.O sebo bovino e o óleo de fritura surgem como uma grande alternativa de matérias-primas para produção de biodiesel.
