Resumo: The second half of the twentieth century was marked by the escalation of political conflicts in the Cold War, a time of economic growth, but a conservative environment that curtailed freedoms. In this context comes the Beat Movement, which spread initially to Europe and the United States, being the outlet and expression of young people to an atmosphere of extreme conservatism. Rock n 'Roll, a musical genre from the union of the Blues and Country, which had already become a phenomenon among young people, receives melodic and somber tones in bands like Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath giving rise to a new style, it was the time of Heavy Metal to conquer fans around the world with their dystopian vision. The headbanger, a name adopted by Heavy Metal fans for their identity, its the materialization of the anguish of a generation, the embodied representation of those who see modern society as a dystopia, a voice that speaks of what one should not speak, a dissonant and stigmatized individual. Headbangers are individuals who possess striking characteristics, often assuming a visual pattern, such as long hair and black clothing as a symbol of their rebellion. The present work sought to study the socialization processes of these individuals and how, although this subversive discourse continues to this day, some members of the group started to assume it only as a form of differentiation. For this, the research used a methodology based on the studies of Bernard Lahire, using extensive conversations and interviews during the period of this work, however this was only possible limiting the number of interlocutors. The analysis of the dispositions, obtained in the socialization processes, showed that, just like the headbanger identity, the conflicts generated by their positions can feedback and strengthen the identity bonds. In addition, its noted the existence of a paradox regarding the headbanger identity and its stigmathat is seen positively within the group

In addition, its noted the existence of a paradox regarding the headbanger identity and its stigmathat is seen positively within the groupA segunda metade do século XX foi marcado pelo acirramento dos conflitos políticos da guerra fria, um momento de crescimento econômico, mas um ambiente conservador que cerceava as liberdades.
