The formation of critical environmental educators: concepts and practice

Resumo: | The contradictions of model of capitalistic society, especially in the form of socioenvironmental crisis, have intensified. The Environmental Education (EE) Critical emerges as indispensable mechanism for overcoming this context. However, an EE Conservative, pervasive in its making, supports the maintenance of the existing corporate standard making it, ideologically, natural. To address this issue, the formation of critical environmental educators brings a real possibility, why not created for the establishment of an EE of historical trend that aims at human emancipation. Thus, in order to reflect on the formation of educators in the broad sense and the formation of environmental educators in the strict sense, we investigated the conceptions of the Environment and of Environmental Education, as well as the educational practices in the area, of a group of educators in the formation process - participants in the construction of the Policy Municipal of Environmental the process and interviews at the end. To complement this analysis, we started with a theoretical study not only the environmental field, but also in discussions about formation of educators. In this analysis, therefore, the statements of the educators demonstrated, hegemonic, representations and practices influenced by visions of the world ideologically. It is believed, therefore, that to form environmental educators that envisage the transformation, in a collective movement, it is essential to consolidate a theoretical framework that brings the debate to critical social theory in order to organize their practice, enhance and develop teacher knowledge in their multiple dimensions, sewing school and university in the praxis of a relational approach. |

As contradições do modelo de sociedade regido pelo capital, sobretudo no formato da crise socioambiental, têm se intensificado. A Educação Ambiental (EA) Crítica emerge como mecanismo indispensável para a superação desse contexto. Porém, uma EA Conservadora, difundida em seu fazer, corrobora com a manutenção do padrão societário vigente tornando-o, ideologicamente, natural. A fim de debater a respeito de tal vertente, a formação de educadores ambientais críticos traz uma possibilidade concreta, por isso não idealizada, para a constituição de uma EA de tendência histórica que vise à emancipação humana. Com o objetivo de refletir sobre a formação de educadores em sentido lato e sobre a formação de educadores ambientais em sentido estrito, investigaram-se as concepções de Meio Ambiente e de Educação Ambiental, assim como as práticas educativas na área, de um grupo de educadores em processo formativo – participantes da construção da Política Municipal de Educação Ambiental de Mesquita (RJ). Foram aplicados questionários semiestruturados no início do processo e realizadas entrevistas ao final dele. Para subsidiar a análise, partiu-se de um estudo teórico não só do campo ambiental, mas também nas discussões sobre formação de educadores. Nessa análise, portanto, as falas dos educadores demonstraram, hegemonicamente, representações e práticas embebidas de visões ideologizadas de mundo.
