Resumo: | The present work has will be objective you analyze the history of the first educational initiatives in "the pioneering" region of brazilian occupation of the region west of the state of the Paraná, that culminated in the creation of the first institution of public education: the School Group Bartolomeu Mitre. The data will be analyzed taking as proposal theoretician-metodológico the dialectical-historical materialism. The historical period is delimited enters 1889 - beginning of the First Republic and creation of the Military Colony of Estuary of the Iguassú - and 1930 - and of the Second Republic, landmark of diverse world-wide and national events e, in the scope of the education, height of the influences of the New School in Brazil and of the quarrels on the construction of the national system of education. The creation of the related you School Group meant the first measure accomplishes of the government of the state of the Paraná in the intention you nationalize the diverse aspects that region west of the state, including its educational system. The institution was created in period where the education started you gain still to bigger importance on the possibilities of development of the country, that if adjusted you the new relations of production and the new requirements of the capitalist system. |

Os dados serão analisados tomando como referencial teórico-metodológico o materialismo histórico-dialético. O período histórico está delimitado entre 1889 – início da Primeira República e criação da Colônia Militar de Foz do Iguassú – e 1930 – final da Segunda República, marco de diversos acontecimentos mundiais e nacionais e, no âmbito da educação, auge das influências da Escola Nova no Brasil e das discussões sobre a construção de um sistema nacional de educação. A criação do referido Grupo Escolar significou a primeira medida efetiva do governo do estado do Paraná na intenção de nacionalizar os diversos aspectos da mesoregião oeste do estado, incluindo o seu sistema educacional.
