The fitness muses in cyberculture: perfect bodies pedagogies on Instagram

Resumo: This article presents the results of a survey whose purpose was to analyse profiles from fitness muses on Instagram, social networking application which allows photo and video sharing. The main argument developed is that these muses use perfect bodies pedagogies as a visibility strategy. The theoretical field was defined from cultural pedagogies and cyberculture studies, specially, the concepts of visibility, spectacularization of the self and hyper-consumption, around mobility culture in which perfect bodies are shown and consumed as commodities, uninterruptedly, on screens from technological devices. The method used was a qualitative research, with a descriptive and analytical approach. The survey concludes that the fitness muses use Instagram to make their feeding and physical exercises routines spectacular, and to promove, among their followers, their lifestyles through healthy and perfect bodies pedagogies.

El principal argumento es que estas musas utilizan las pedagogías de los cuerpos perfectos como estrategia de visibilidad. El campo teórico fue definido a partir de estudios de las pedagogías culturales y de la cibercultura, especialmente, los conceptos de visibilidad, espectacularización del yo e hiperconsumo, en torno a la cultura de la movilidad en la que se muestran y consumen cuerpos perfectos como mercancias en pantallas de dispositivos tecnológicos. El método utilizado fue el de la investigación cualitativa, descriptiva y analítica. El estudio concluye que las musas fitness utilizan la aplicación Instagram para espectacularizar sus rutinas de alimentación y de ejercicios físicos y para promover sus estilos de vida entre sus seguidores, a través de pedagogías de los cuerpos sanos y perfectos.O artigo apresenta resultados de uma pesquisa que teve o objetivo de analisar perfis de musas fitness no Instagram, aplicativo de rede social para compartilhamento de fotos e vídeos. O principal argumento desenvolvido é que essas musas se valem de pedagogias de corpos perfeitos enquanto estratégia de visibilidade. O campo teórico foi definido a partir de estudos das pedagogias culturais e da cibercultura, especialmente, os conceitos de visibilidade, espetacularização do eu e hiperconsumo, em torno da cultura da mobilidade na qual corpos perfeitos são exibidos e consumidos ininterruptamente em telas de dispositivos tecnológicos como mercadorias midiáticas. O método utilizado foi o da pesquisa qualitativa, de cunho descritivo e analítico.
