Resumo: | Current study socializes analyses on the programs of a twenty-year-old theater group in a technical school in Aquidauana MS Brazil, by discussing the discourse of written and rehearsed plays, underscoring the stance of young people who participated as actors. Studies featuring Foucauldian perspectives were employed to problematize and discuss the selected material. Architectural, psychopedagogical, agricultural and artistic discourses crisscrossed in the Institution´s programs to prepare agents to be technicians within the primary sector of the local economy. However, the school theater had a more comprehensive task, or rather, to define or invent an identity of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul after its separation from the state of Mato Grosso in the late 1970s. The statements of the young actors on the discourses and practices that marked the theater experience showed different forms of appreciation and different ways to subjective them. |

O artigo objetivou socializar análises das programações de um grupo teatral que funcionou durante 20 anos em uma escola técnica, localizada no município de Aquidauana, Mato Grosso do Sul, retomando os discursos das peças escritas e ensaiadas, e dando ênfase ao posicionamento dos jovens que delas participaram como atores. Utilizaram-se estudos na perspectiva foucaultiana para problematizar e analisar o material selecionado. Diferentes discursos, como o arquitetônico, o psicopedagógico, o agropecuário, o artístico, se entrecruzaram nos programas da Instituição para a constituição de sujeitos aptos a atuarem como técnicos no setor primário da economia local. Entretanto, o teatro escolar colocou uma tarefa ainda mais abrangente: a de delimitar ou inventar uma identidade ao sul-mato-grossense, após a divisão do Estado de Mato Grosso, no final dos anos de 1970. Ao tomar os depoimentos dos jovens-atores sobre os discursos e práticas que marcaram a experiência teatral, observaram-se diferentes formas de afetação e diferentes modos de subjetivá-los.
