Non-formal education and the educating municipality: some socio-community experiences

Resumo: This article approaches the problematic of the educational processes that happen in the urban space and in the rural space, in the field of nonformal education. The objective is to present and discuss social and community experiences of non-formal education that occur through manifestations and occupations in the urban environment, as well as rural-heritage tourism experiences. Methodologically, this is a qualitative research that explores data constructed through seven examples of public occupations extracted from city contexts and experiences dealing with educational activities in the rural context of three historical farms in the state of São Paulo. The analyzes approximate the experiences in order to discuss the three dimensions of learning indicated by Trilla Bernet: learning to, learning from, learning from. Finally, it considers the limits and scope of such learning and updates the idea of the city as an area of non-formal education under the term and focus of the educating, agent and factor municipality.

Metodológicamente se trata de una investigación cualitativa que explora informaciones extraídas por medio de siete experiencias de ocupaciones públicas extraídas de contextos de la ciudad y de experiencias que tratan de actividades educativas en contexto rural de tres haciendas históricas del estado de São Paulo. Los análisis aproximan las experiencias para discutir las tres dimensiones de aprendizaje indicadas por Trilla Bernet: aprender a, aprender de, aprender en. Por último, considera los límites y alcances de esos aprendizajes y actualiza la idea de la ciudad como espacio de educación no formal bajo el término y enfoque del municipio educador, agente y factor.Este artigo aborda a problemática dos processos educativos que acontecem no espaço urbano e rural, no campo da educação não formal. O objetivo é apresentar e refletir experiências sociais e comunitárias de educação não formal que se dão por meio de manifestações e ocupações no ambiente urbano, bem como de experiências de turismo rural-patrimonial. Metodologicamente trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa que explora informações extraídas por meio de sete experiências de ocupações públicas extraídas de contextos da cidade e de experiências que tratam de atividades educativas em contexto rural de três fazendas históricas do estado de São Paulo. As análises aproximam as experiências de modo a discutir as três dimensões de aprendizagem indicadas por Trilla Bernet: aprender a, aprender da, aprender na.
