Resumo: | The objective of this work was to carry out a re-evaluation of children which participated in an environmental education (EE) activity in the Interpretative Trail of the UEG, during 2002 and 2003. These children (test group) were contacted in their schools and together with other children, who had never participated in the activity (control group), they had to go through the trail and answer a questionnaire, which was compared with the after-trail questionnaire of the previous activity. Essas crianças (grupo teste) foram contatadas em suas escolas e juntamente com outras crianças, que nunca participaram da atividade (grupo controle), percorreram a trilha e responderam a um questionário. Os resultados dos questionários do grupo teste, em comparação com o desempenho da atividade anterior, evidenciaram ganhos cognitivos nesse intervalo de um ou dois anos da primeira exposição à atividade.
