Resumo:  As the result of a research on the concept of author built along the vast literary production of Jorge Luis Borges, this article discusses various aspects of his theoretical thinking (especially considering his essays published on Inquisiciones and Otras inquisiciones (2012)) while analyzes how those aspects were fictionalized in some of his short stories. This debate inevitably brings to our attention the relationship between Borges and the literary tradition, as seen in the way he interpreted writers like Cervantes, Kafka and Shakespeare, besides works like One thousand and one nights(Jarouche, 2006) – whose relationship with Borges is thoroughly examined in this research.

Universidade Estadual De Maringá2018-09-04info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttp://www.periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/ActaSciLangCult/article/view/4109310.4025/actascilangcult.v40i2.41093Acta Scientiarum.
