Resumo: Spondias tuberosa is an alternative tree fruit to be economically explored, under dry conditions in the North of Minas Gerais, Brazil. However, it is necessary more information about its rational cultivation and mainly its mineral nutrition limitations. This work was carried out to evaluate the mineral nutrient required by Spondias tuberosa plant growth. The seedlings were cultivated in pots of Brazilian Oxisol under the following treatments: a complete treatment (fertilized with N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, B and Zn), a control one (natural soil) and the absence of those nutrients per pot treatment. Plant height, stem diameter, dry matter of shoot, root and xilopode and the nutrient content in dry matter of shoots were evaluated after four months. The results of analysis showed that the imbuzeiro demanded a lot of nutrient in appropriate humidity conditions. The natural soil studied presented low nutrient contents demanded by the Spondias tuberosa during this growing phase.
