Influence of the applied level of energy on the compaction curve of three oxisols

Resumo: Samples of disturbed soil, obtained in the superficial layer of three oxisols, were artificially compacted, using the Proctor system, adapted for mini samples, being used three levels of compaction energy (E1, equal to 416,5 KJ m-3 ± 20,5; E2, equal to 694 KJ m-3 ± 35 and E3, equal to 1676 KJm-3 ± 84). The soil moisture varied of the state corresponding to air dried soil to the saturation. The soil bulk density (Ds), as compaction indicator, as well as the soil moisture, behaved equally in the three oxisols. Ds increased and the soil moisture decreased so as to reach it, with the use of greater compaction energy. The Eutrorthox presented the greatest humidity range for traffic or mobilization. The Haplorthox and the Acrohumox, presented the same behavior front the three compaction energies before towards

A umidade do solo variou do estado correspondente a solo seco ao ar até à saturação. A densidade do solo (Ds), como indicador de compactação, bem como a umidade do solo, comportaram-se igualmente nos três latossolos, ou seja, a Ds aumentou e a umidade do solo para atingi-la decresceu, com o emprego de maior energia de compactação. O LATOSSOLO VERMELHO Eutrófico apresentou a maior amplitude de umidade para tráfego ou mobilização.
