Resumo: Five snap beans accessions from Germplasm Collection of UENF were evaluated concerning genetic diversity using morphological and agronomic traits, and RAPD markers. Multivariate analysis, including Tocher´s methods, Nearest Neighbor and Canonical Variable were used to analyze the data. The results of each method showed resemblance, indicating the presence of genetic variability. The groups among parents were formed according to pod type. It was possible to detect genetic diversity among parents with molecular markers or morphagronomic traits. RAPD markers were useful for reliable hybrid identification.

RAPD markers were useful for reliable hybrid identification.Cinco acessos de feijão-de-vagem da Coleção de Germoplasma da UENF foram avaliados quanto à diversidade genética por meio de caracteres morfoagronômicos e marcadores RAPD. Para tanto, foram utilizados os métodos multivariados de Agrupamento de Tocher e “Hierárquico do Vizinho Mais Próximo” e análise por meio de Variáveis Canônicas. Os resultados de cada método apresentaram semelhança, indicando a existência de variabilidade. A formação de grupos entre os genitores variou de acordo com o tipo de vagem. Conclui-se que é possível, em nível molecular ou morfoagronômico, inferir a respeito da diversidade genética dos genitores.
