Resumo: Two experiments were carried out to determine the performance of rabbits fed on diets including cassava hulls dried (CHD), fiber variety for growing rabbits. In the digestibility assay, 22 rabbits at 50 days of age were used in a randomized design with two treatments and 11 replicates. Reference and test diets were used in which CHD substituted 25% of dry matter of control diet. The digestible values of the dry matter, protein, neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF), energy and starch, on dry matter basis, contained respectively 52.30, 3.28, 9.46, 4.79%, 2,288 kcal/kg and 23.19%. In the performance trial, 180 rabbits from 35 to 70 days of age were used. The rabbits were distributed in a completely randomized design, with six treatments (six levels of CHD inclusion: 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100%, replacing the wheat meal digestible energy) and 15 replicates with two animals per experimental unit. The results showed that the CHD can be incorporated in the growing rabbits’ rations in up to 24.30%, substituting 100% of wheat meal digestible energy.

No ensaio de digestibilidade, foram utilizados 22 coelhos com 50 dias de idade, distribuídos em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com dois tratamentos e 11 repetições. Foram utilizadas duas rações, uma referência e uma teste, sendo que a CMD substituiu 25% da matéria seca da ração-referência. Os teores digestíveis de matéria seca, proteína, FDN, FDA, energia e amido com base na matéria seca foram, respectivamente, de 52,30, 3,28, 9,46, 4,79%, 2.288 kcal/kg e 23,19%. No experimento de desempenho, foram utilizados 180 coelhos de 35 a 70 dias de idade. Os coelhos foram distribuídos em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com seis tratamentos (seis níveis de inclusão da CMD: 0, 20, 40%, 60, 80 e 100%, em substituição à energia digestível do farelo de trigo) e 15 repetições, com dois animais por unidade experimental. Os resultados permitiram concluir que a CMD pode ser incorporada às rações de coelhos em crescimento em até 24,30%, substituindo em 100% a energia digestível do farelo de trigo.
