Resumo: The purpose of this study was to analyse the compatibility between Judo techniques and the body proportions of the athletes, taking into account: the "tokui-waza" technique, the mecanical aspects of the technique, the size of legs, trunk and acromium, besides the relationship between "tokui-waza" and the body proportions (size) according to Phanton. The sample was composed of twenty-two male, athletes whose average age was 18.9 years and whose average time of practice was 7.7 years. All subjects were measured according to Ross & Marfell-Jone's (1982) procedures. The Chi-quadractic test revealed no relationship between "tokui-waza" and size of legs, trunk and acromium. It may be concluded that the choise of "tokui-waza" does not depend on the size of these body segments.

It may be concluded that the choise of "tokui-waza" does not depend on the size of these body segments. Department of Physical Education - State University of Maringá (UEM), Maringá-PR, Brazil2008-07-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/4019Journal of Physical Education; Vol 4 No 1 (1993); 45-49Journal of Physical Education; Vol. 4 Núm. 1 (1993); 45-49Journal of Physical Education; v. 4 n. 1 (1993); 45-492448-2455reponame:Journal of Physical Education (Maringá)instname:Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)instacron:UEMporhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/4019/2772Santos, Saray Giovana dosMelo, Sebastião Iberes LopesPires-Neto, Cândido Simõesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-01-10T15:37:30Zoai:periodicos.uem.br/ojs:article/4019Revistahttp://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/indexPUBhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.php||revdef@uem.br2448-24552448-2455opendoar:2023-01-10T15:37:30Journal of Physical Education (Maringá) - Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)false
