Resumo: The art of classical ballet requires the repetition of technical movements that cause high stress to the musculoskeletal system. Considering that the posture is influenced by forces which they are submitted to, the ballet practice can promote the acquisition of postural tendencies. Thus, the present study investigated the occurrence of postural changes in classical ballet dancers. The study group was composed by 10 dancers with more than three years of classical ballet practice. For postural analysis, the computerized photogrammetry method through postural assessment software was used. It was found that there are trends in the posture in the dancers group studied, such as anterior pelvic tilt and trunk extension and some of them are related to long practice time such as valgus ankles. It was observed that the postural analysis is very important in such population, seeing that the repetition of classical ballet movements may cause postural changes and injuries.

Department of Physical Education - State University of Maringá (UEM), Maringá-PR, Brazil2011-04-02info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionTransversal StudyEstudo Transversalapplication/pdfapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/9130Journal of Physical Education; Vol 22 No 1 (2011); 27-35Journal of Physical Education; Vol. 22 Núm. 1 (2011); 27-35Journal of Physical Education; v. 22 n. 1 (2011); 27-352448-2455reponame:Journal of Physical Education (Maringá)instname:Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)instacron:UEMporenghttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/9130/7440https://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/9130/751375148672Meereis, Estele Caroline WelterFavretto, CamileBernardi, Caren LucianePeroni, Ana Beatriz da FonsecaMota, Carlos Bolliinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-01-10T15:37:57Zoai:periodicos.uem.br/ojs:article/9130Revistahttp://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/indexPUBhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.php||revdef@uem.br2448-24552448-2455opendoar:2023-01-10T15:37:57Journal of Physical Education (Maringá) - Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)false
