Resumo: This study was delineated to analyze the relationships between the aerobic capacity and the increased and decreased rates of blood lactate after high-intensity exercise. Seven male individuals performed two evaluations in outdoor athletic track: a) a sprint of 200 m in the maximum speed (T200) to determine the blood lactate kinetics after intense exercise and b) a progressive test to determine the Anaerobic Threshold (LAn). The average of the LAn was 13.8 (1.4) km.h-1. There were not significant correlations between LAn and the initial rates of increase and decrease of blood lactate after T200 (r = 0.07, p= 0.88 e r = - 0.46, p= 0.31, respectively). There are no evidences that the aerobic capacity can be a determinant factor in kinetic response of the blood lactate after high-intensity exercise.

Department of Physical Education - State University of Maringá (UEM), Maringá-PR, Brazil2008-12-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/6008Journal of Physical Education; Vol 19 No 4 (2008); 565-572Journal of Physical Education; Vol. 19 Núm. 4 (2008); 565-572Journal of Physical Education; v. 19 n. 4 (2008); 565-5722448-2455reponame:Journal of Physical Education (Maringá)instname:Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)instacron:UEMporhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/6008/3788Cicielski, Pryscyla Érica CardozoMatsushigue, Karin AyumiBertuzzi, Rômulo Cássio de MoraesWrublevski, Maria Júliainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-01-10T15:37:42Zoai:periodicos.uem.br/ojs:article/6008Revistahttp://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/indexPUBhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.php||revdef@uem.br2448-24552448-2455opendoar:2023-01-10T15:37:42Journal of Physical Education (Maringá) - Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)false
