Resumo: | Our purpose is to understand the complexity that exists in the dynamic process of professional intervention in Physical Education. As for that, our main purpose was to understand the relation of the several elements that are present in the intervention of the Physical Education professional. A qualitative approach study was carried out, using elements of ethnographic case study. A professional who works as a personal trainer with almost 30 years of experience was analyzed. After the data analysis, the following terms were found: fitness center, students and training, making up the cultural theme defined by the professional himself as a way of life. Based on the theme, it was noticed that the professional carries out his interventions based on the knowledge acquired with his practice, guiding the decision making process. |

Para isso, nosso principal objetivo foi compreender a relação dos diversos elementos que estão presentes na intervenção do profissional de Educação Física. Realizamos um estudo de abordagem qualitativa, empregando elementos da pesquisa etnográfica. Acompanhamos um profissional atuante como personal trainer com quase 30 anos de carreira. Após a análise dos dados, os termos encontrados foram: academia, alunos e treino, que formou o tema cultural definido pelo próprio profissional como modo de vida.
