Resumo: O presente artigo aborda o papel do conhecimento histórico enquanto componente do processo de reflexão, analisando a importância de uma vinculação racional para a compreensão das relações humanas, percorrendo a critica da razão iluminista e a necessidade do repensar de tal instrumento, como contribui para uma percepção sobre as relações humanas, sua crise, transformação e a importância da história nesse processo, sobretudo com o desenvolvimento de suas concepções teóricas e o significado da memória na construção da identidade do próprio conhecimento histórico. Palavras-chave: História, Reflexão, Teorias, Memória HISTORY AND REFLECTION Abstract: This article discusses the role of historical knowledge as a component of the reflection process, analyzing the importance of binding to a rational understanding of human relations, traversing the critique of Enlightenment reason and the need to rethink such an instrument as contributing to an perception of human relations, its crisis, transformation and the importance of history in the process, especially with the development of its theoretical conceptions and meaning of memory in identity construction of historical knowledge itself.
