Resumo: The objective of this work is to analyze the enunciative marks materialized in the political discourse, examining how the Subject of enunciation validates its ethos through argumentative strategies. For the development of the analysis, notions such as: subject, ethos, discourse and argumentation were explored. The theoretical budgets were based on Benveniste (2005; 2006) referring to the theory of enunciation; Ducrot (1987) about discursive laws; Orlandi (2009) does not touch the notion of subject and discourse; Maingueneau (2015) in the constitution of ethos. As for the methodology, in this work sixteen discursive sequences (SDs) from two televised political debates were followed, in which we sought to apply the mentioned theories. The results obtained allowed, through clutches, to glimpse the position of the enunciation subject within the analyzed discourse, how he constitutes and reconstitutes his ethos in order to validate his utterances. In addition, the argumentative strategies that the enunciation subjects used to show a sincere ethos were explained.
