Resumo: This research was developed under the Project Investigating the Mathematical Formulation and Mathematical Problem Solving in the Classroom: Exploring Connections between School and University, of the Program Education Observatory of CAPES. Such research had as a general goal to analyze how, from manipulative materials in the 6 th year of elementary school, mathematical formulation and problem solving about fractions can contribute to a reflexive practice of the future Math professor in a supervised practice. To reach this goal we used the following specific goals: verify how Math teachers of the 6 th grade approach to mathematical formulation and problem solving; identify the contributions of the activities of mathematical formulation and problem solving about fraction in the teaching practice of the future professor in supervised practice; investigate, through a Logbook, how the future teacher in supervised practice reflects about her or his practice when using mathematical formulation and problem solving. This work refers to a qualitative research, a participant observation in which were made observations in the classes of Math of 6 year of elementary school, with titular professors from Monteiro – PB and Lagoa Seca – PB. It was made semi structured interviews with the referent teachers and the two future math professors from UEPB Campus VI of Monteiro - PB and UEPB Campus of Campina Grande – PB, that constituted the two case studies. During the lessons observed the students formulated and resolved mathematical problems from manipulative materials referent to the content of fraction (addition and subtraction). The results show that both the teachers and the future teachers know for a short period of time about the methodology of mathematical formulation and problem solving but demonstrate themselves interested in knowing and using it in their classroom practice. In their classroom practice the future teachers in supervised practice contributed to the rupture of rules of didactic contract of lessons of direct teaching that were developed by the titular teachers. On the other hand although they demonstrate previous knowledge about fractions and get excited with the usage of manipulative materials, the students still present much resistance in formulating and solving mathematical problems in a creative and productive way. In their Logbook written reflections the future teachers present different types of reflections upon practice, emerging in the first case study the descriptive writing and descriptive reflection and the same in the second case study but with additional dialogic reflection.

A referida pesquisa teve como objetivo geral analisar como a formulação e resolução de problemas matemáticos sobre frações, a partir de materiais manipuláveis no 6° Ano do Ensino Fundamental, podem contribuir para uma prática reflexiva do futuro professor de Matemática em Estágio Supervisionado. Para alcançar este objetivo, trabalhamos os seguintes objetivos específicos: verificar como as professoras de Matemática do 6° Ano abordam a formulação e a resolução de problemas matemáticos; identificar quais as contribuições das atividades de formulação e resolução de problemas matemáticos sobre frações, na prática letiva do futuro professor em Estágio Supervisionado e, investigar, através de um Diário de Bordo, como o futuro professor, em Estágio Supervisionado, reflete sobre a sua prática, com a utilização da formulação e resolução de problemas matemáticos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, na qual foram realizadas observações participantes nas aulas de Matemática do 6° Ano do Ensino Fundamental com as professoras titulares, em escolas localizadas na cidade de Monteiro-PB e Lagoa Seca-PB. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com as referidas professoras e com os dois futuros professores de Matemática da UEPB: Campus VI de Monteiro-PB e da UEPB: Campus de Campina Grande-PB, que constituíram os dois estudos de caso. Durante as aulas observadas, os alunos formularam e resolveram problemas matemáticos a partir de materiais manipuláveis referentes ao conteúdo fração (adição e subtração). Os resultados mostram que tanto as professoras como os futuros professores conhecem há pouco tempo a metodologia formulação e resolução de problemas matemáticos, porém mostram-se interessados em conhecê-la e utilizá-la em sua prática letiva. Se por um lado, os futuros professores, em sua prática letiva, no Estágio Supervisionado, contribuíram para a ruptura das regras do contrato didático das aulas do ensino direto, desenvolvidas pelas professoras titulares. Por outro lado, apesar de demonstrarem conhecimentos prévios sobre frações e se empolgarem com o uso de materiais manipuláveis, os alunos ainda apresentam muita resistência para formular e resolver problemas matemáticos de modo criativo e produtivo.
