Didactic textbooks and television media in the building of representations of Spanish America to students of Primary School in the city of Inhumas, state of Goiás

Resumo: The study of history textbooks has advanced considerably in Brazil, however, there are still some gaps, objects and problems still not addressed. One of these is the space that the subject of Spanish America holds within these didactic works and its repercussions in the formation of the view elementary school students build of Hispanic America. This work was conducted searching to help shed light onto this object-problem. The research was done in two phases: an analysis of history textbooks adopted by the teachers in the city of Inhumas in 2007, and, then, an analysis of questionnaires and interviews with elementary school students in the region. The results have led us to believe that the incidental condition that the history of Spanish America occupies in history textbooks, and the strong representation of the subject created by television media has contributed to the formation of a strong process of differentiation of students in relation to America Hispanic colonization.   Keywords: Representations. Sin embargo, todavía hay algunos objetos y problemas no abordados. Uno de ellos es el espacio que el tema de la América española tiene dentro de estas obras didácticas y sus repercusiones en la formación de la opinión de los estudiantes primarios acerca de la América hispana. Este trabajo se llevó a cabo la búsqueda de ayudar a arrojar luz sobre este objeto-problema. La investigación se realizó en dos fases: un análisis de los libros de Historia adoptados por los profesores en la ciudad de Inhumas en 2007 y, a continuación, un análisis de cuestionarios y entrevistas con estudiantes de escuelas primarias de la región. Los resultados nos han llevado a creer que la condición incidental que la Historia de la América española ocupa en los libros de historia, y la fuerte representación del objeto creado por los medios de televisión, han contribuido a la formación de un fuerte proceso de diferenciación de los estudiantes en relación a la América de colonización hispana.   Palabras clave: Representaciones. Todavia, ainda há questões pouco abordadas. Uma delas é o espaço que a temática hispano-americana ocupa nessas obras e quais são as repercussões disso na representação de América espanhola que os alunos do Ensino Básico assumem. Nosso trabalho foi desenvolvido na busca de contribuir para lançar luz sobre esse objeto-problema. A pesquisa foi feita em duas fases: primeiro, analisamos os livros didáticos adotados pelos professores do município de Inhumas, no estado de Goiás, em 2007, e, depois, realizamos uma análise dos questionários e entrevistas feitos com os alunos da região. Os resultados levam-nos a sustentar a hipótese de que a condição acessória que a América espanhola ocupa nos livros didáticos de História e a forte representação dessa temática criada pela mídia televisiva têm contribuído para a prática de diferenciação dos alunos em relação à América de colonização hispânica.   Palavras-chave: Representações.
