Resumo: This paper demonstrates the impact of a didactic approach based on the teaching of History from the use of narrative accounts and historical imagination. The research was marked by a multidisciplinary perspective which brought together contributions from literary criticism, the history of reading, studies of narrative, and the sociology of culture. The research focused on school and classes – which are spaces in which students have the access to the written culture and the learning. In relation to methodological issues, the research articulates principles of educational ethnography, participant observation, accounts and interviews. The main source of data was the writings of the students involved in the didactic experiment.Keywords: History teaching. Narrative. Ethnography

EthnographyEn este articulo se demuestra el impacto de un enfoque didáctico fundamentado en la enseñanza de historia a partir da utilización de relatos y la imaginación histórica. Esta pesquisa estuvo marcada por una perspectiva multidisciplinar que mescla las contribuciones de la crítica literaria, historia de la literatura, los estudios sobre la narrativa y la sociología de la cultura. La pesquisa se centro en el espacio especifico que es la escuela, la clase, lugar donde la mayoría de los individuos se integran a la cultura escrita, y en la enseñanza de las disciplinas. Dentro de una perspectiva metodológica, fueron articulados ciertos principios de la etnografía escolar y algunas de sus técnicas de levantamiento de datos y de observación participativa, los registros de clase y las entrevistas. Las principales fuentes de datos fueron los propios trabajos escritos por los alumnos que participarán de nuestra experiencia didáctica.   Palabras claves: Enseñanza de historia. Narrativa. Etnografía  Este artigo demonstra o impacto de um enfoque didático fundamentado no ensino de História a partir do uso de relatos e a imaginação histórica. Esta pesquisa esteve marcada por uma perspectiva multidisciplinar que combinou as contribuições da crítica literária, da história da leitura, os estudos sobre a narrativa e a sociologia da cultura. A pesquisa centrou-se no espaço específico que é a escola, a aula, lugar onde a maioria dos sujeitos insere-se na cultura escrita e na aprendizagem das disciplinas. Numa perspectiva metodológica, foram articulados certos princípios da etnografia escolar e algumas das suas técnicas de levantamento de dados e da observação participante, os registros de classe e as entrevistas. As principais fontes de dados foram os próprios trabalhos escritos dos alunos que participaram da nossa experiência didática.   Palavras-chave: Ensino de História. Narrativa. Etnografia.
