The teaching professional (de)valuation: implications of the supply and demand of teaching professionals in Paraná (2009-2013)

Resumo: This paper aims at analyzing the relation between supply and demand of teaching professionals in the state of Paraná (2009-2013) by questioning the relation between work and education in capitalism, as well as the process of teaching professionals (de)valuation. The analysis was based on the historical-dialectical materialism theoretical-methodological approach, addressing the ontological conception of work and focusing on its capitalist historical dimension. The research surveyed statistical data from the National Institute of Studies and Education Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP, Brazilian Portuguese abbreviation), information given by the State of Paraná Education Secretariat (SEED-PR, Brazilian Portuguese abbreviation) and data made available by 37 Higher Education Institutions (IES, Brazilian Portuguese abbreviation) in the State of Paraná. The results revealed that there is greater supply of teaching professionals in relation to the job market demand for such activity, which leads to an excess of teachers. The conclusions reveal that this condition tends to contribute to the devaluation of this workforce.   Keywords: Supply and demand of professionals. Teaching professionals. Workforce devaluation.

Workforce devaluation.Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la relación de oferta y demanda de pedagogos en el estado de Paraná (2009-2013), discutiendo la relación entre el trabajo y la formación en el capitalismo y el proceso de (des) valorización de los profesionales de la Pedagogía. El análisis se basa en los principios teóricos y metodológicos del materialismo histórico y dialéctico, pasando por la concepción ontológica de la obra y adentrando en su dimensión histórica capitalista. La investigación está fundamentada por los datos estadísticos del Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (INEP), información proporcionada por el Departamento de Educación del Estado de Paraná (SEED-PR) y los datos aportados por 37 instituciones de educación superior (IES) de estado de Paraná. Los resultados revelan que hay un mayor número de docentes en relación con el crecimiento de la demanda de estos profesionales en el mercado laboral, provocando un exceso de población de los profesores. Por lo tanto, la conclusión es que esta condición contribuye a la depreciación del valor de su fuerza de trabajo.   Palabras clave: Oferta y demanda de profesionales. Pedagogos. Desvalorización de la fuerza de trabajo.Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a relação entre a oferta e a demanda de pedagogos no estado do Paraná (2009-2013), problematizando a relação entre trabalho e formação no capitalismo, bem como o processo de (des)valorização dos profissionais da Pedagogia. A análise realizada se fundamentou nos pressupostos teórico-metodológicos do materialismo histórico-dialético, perpassando pela concepção ontológica do trabalho e adentrando na sua dimensão histórica capitalista. A pesquisa se constituiu a partir de dados estatísticos do Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (INEP), informações disponibilizadas pela Secretaria Estadual de Educação do Paraná (SEED-PR) e dados disponibilizados por 37 Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) do estado do Paraná. Os resultados revelam que há uma oferta maior de pedagogos em relação ao crescimento da demanda de tais profissionais no mercado de trabalho, ocasionando uma população excedente de professores.
