Resumo: | This article aims to explore theoretical references of scientific productions on educational evaluation policies and accountability, through a meta-research exercise. Specifically, the text analyzes articles published in scientific journals in Brazil and Colombia, indexed in databases such as Redalyc or equivalent. The results achieved allowed to verify the low incidence of productions in which the authors explain the epistemological perspective, the epistemological positioning and the reference authors, central aspects in studies of the meta-research type. While this finding exposes some weaknesses in publications on the subject, it highlights a vast field for future studies on theoretical references in scientific production on educational evaluation policies and accountability. Específicamente, el texto en pantalla analiza artículos publicados en revistas científicas de Brasil y Colombia, indexadas en bases de datos como Redalyc o equivalente. Los resultados alcanzados permitieron constatar la baja incidencia de producciones en las que los autores explican la perspectiva epistemológica, la posición epistemológica y los autores de referencia, aspectos que son centrales en los estudios del tipo meta-investigación. Si bien este hallazgo expone algunas debilidades en las publicaciones sobre el tema, destaca un amplio campo para futuros estudios sobre referentes teóricos en la producción científica sobre políticas de evaluación educativa y accountability. Metainvestigación.Este artigo tem como objetivo explorar referenciais teóricos de produções científicas sobre políticas de avaliação educacional e accountability, por meio de um exercício de metapesquisa. Especificamente, o texto em tela analisa artigos publicados em periódicos científicos do Brasil e da Colômbia, indexados em bases de dados, tais como a Redalyc ou equivalente. Os resultados alcançados permitiram constatar a pouca incidência de produções em que os autores explicitam a perspectiva epistemológica, o posicionamento epistemológico e os autores de referência, aspectos centrais em estudos do tipo metapesquisa. Ao passo que essa constatação expõe algumas fragilidades nas publicações sobre o tema, evidencia um campo vasto para estudos futuros sobre os referenciais teóricos na produção científica sobre políticas de avaliação educacional e accountability.
