The Materialist dialectic: principles, dialogues and research in Education

Resumo: It is intended, in this article, to produce a theoretical analysis, through bibliographic research, on the foundations of the materialist dialectic, assuming that this debate directly impacts the production of knowledge in the field of research in Education, in general, and in the field of Education Policies, in particular. The approach begins with the resumption of dialectics as a concept and in the ancient and modern conceptions, passing through the study of Hegel’s idealist dialectic, to serve as a counterpoint to build the concept of dialectics in the Marxist tradition, contemplating a diversity of perspectives of this field. It is concluded with a synthesis of how research in Education Policies can benefit from the study of materialist dialectics. Keywords: Materialist dialectics. Contradiction and overdetermination. El enfoque comienza con la reanudación de la dialéctica como concepto y en las concepciones antiguas y modernas, pasando por el estudio de la dialéctica idealista por Hegel, para servir de contrapunto para construir el concepto de dialéctica en la tradición marxista, contemplando una diversidad de perspectivas de este campo. Se concluye con una síntesis de cómo las investigaciones en Políticas Educativas pueden beneficiarse del estudio de la dialéctica materialista. Palabras clave: Dialéctica materialista. Investigación en Políticas Educativas.Pretende-se, neste artigo, produzir uma análise teórica, por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, sobre os fundamentos da dialética materialista, pressupondo que esse debate impacta diretamente na produção de conhecimento no campo das pesquisas em Educação, em geral, e no campo das Políticas Educacionais, em particular. A abordagem inicia com a retomada da dialética como conceito e nas concepções antigas e modernas, passando pelo estudo da dialética idealista de Hegel, para servir como contraponto para construir o conceito de dialética na tradição marxista, contemplando uma diversidade de perspectivas desse campo. Conclui-se com uma síntese de como as pesquisas em Políticas Educacionais podem se beneficiar do estudo da dialética materialista. Palavras-chave: Dialética materialista.
