Popular Cultures in folkcommunication and Popular, Community and Alternative Communication: from media decoding to political resistance

Summary: This article discusses the topic of popular cultures both from the notions of folkcommunication and communication in the context of social movements. The objective is to observe the presence of elements of Folkcommunication within the scope of Popular, Community and Alternative Communication developed by social movements. The study is based on bibliographic research. We conclude that popular communication within the scope of social movements carries elements of popular cultures, including folkcommunication, and, as such, mixes this expressiveness in its social practices, such as in basic education work aimed at increasing citizen awareness and in public demonstrations of protest in the exercise of citizenship.

El objetivo es observar la presencia de elementos de la folkcomunicación en el ámbito de la Comunicación Popular, Comunitaria y Alternativa desarrollada por los movimientos sociales. El estudio se basa en una investigación bibliográfica. Se concluye que la comunicación popular en el ámbito de los movimientos sociales lleva elementos de las culturas populares, incluida la folkcomuniación, y como tal, mezcla esa expresividad en sus prácticas sociales, como en la labor de educación de base orientada a la sensibilización ciudadana y en las manifestaciones públicas de protesta en el ejercicio de la ciudadanía.Este artigo discute o tema das culturas populares tanto a partir das noções folkcomunicacionais quanto da comunicação no contexto dos movimentos sociais. O objetivo é observar a presença de elementos da Folkcomunicação no âmbito da Comunicação Popular, Comunitária e Alternativa desenvolvida pelos movimentos sociais. O estudo é baseado em pesquisa bibliográfica.
