Family, work and religion: the construction of the imaginary as an inspiration for professional achievement under the influence of the mother woman

Resumo: This article shows family, work and religion as social representations that influence the formation of the imaginary in students enrolled in the Military Police School, in Rio Verde / GO. These representations were analyzed inductively and raised through a field research, with 14 participants, in a contingent of 143 students, being the family appointed as the main representation. The construction of the research was done through the application of a questionnaire about the social representations and the interpretation of drawings elaborated by the researched ones, based on some theoretical aspects of the Giddens, (1993), Durkheim (1989), Weber (2004ab), Scott (1996), Nolasco (1995), Bourdieu and Passeron (1982). During the course of this discussion, the question of women’s empowerment associated with the role of men in family relationships became evident. In conclusion, it was verified that the Mother Woman influences the formation of her child's imaginary in 42% in order for them to practice medicine.

Estas representações foram analisadas indutivamente e levantadas mediante uma pesquisa de campo com 14 participantes, em um contingente 143 estudantes, sendo a família apontada como a principal representação. A construção da pesquisa se deu através da aplicação de um questionário sobre as representações sociais e da interpretação de desenhos elaborados pelos pesquisados, tendo como base algumas vertentes teóricas do pensamento de Giddens (1993), Durkheim (1989), Weber (2004ab), Scott (1996), Nolasco (1995), Bourdieu e Passeron (1982).No decorrer desta discussão, fica evidente a questão do empoderamento da mulher associado ao papel do homem nas relações familiares.
