This paper presents results from activities undertaken during the VII Paranaense Statute Seminar of Children and Adolescents: 30 years ECA: We breathe hope! Presenting ECA in schools in indigenous communities in the state of Paraná was an opportunity to deepen the reflection on the subject and conduct a study on the challenges and prospects for applying ECA to indigenous children and adolescents. During the activity, of presenting ECA to the community, the emphasis was on the need to take a different look at the care of indigenous children and adolescents, showing that moments of dialogue are important to ensure fundamental rights and make citizenship effective. Among the results, we highlight the perception of the demand for municipal legislation to formalize the exclusive vacancy for indigenous representatives in the tutelary council, in addition to the recognition of the importance of taking the ECA debate to indigenous communities to promote the discussion of this public policy, and the verification of the relevance of studies and debates on the application of ECA to indigenous children and adolescents.
