Tendo por foco o genocídio armênio, procurou-se demonstrar como a atuação da banda System of a Downcontribui para que o assunto ganhe visibilidade. Assim, utilizou-se como principal fonte de pesquisa o documentário Screamers, que enfatiza a recepção do público sobre o genocídio armênio. Palavras-chave: Direitos Humanos; Rock; Genocídio armênio. Abstract The article aims to explain how rock can be seen as an element capable of giving voice to the demands of marginalized subjects. Focusing on the Armenian genocide, we sought to demonstrate how the performance of the band System of a Down contributes to the issue gaining visibility. Thus, the documentary Screamers, which emphasizes the reception of the public about the Armenian genocide, was used as the main source of research.Keywords: Human rights; Rock; Armenian genocide.
