DOI: 10.12957/rqi.2018.25644 A contemporaneidade nos impele a resolver aquelas questões ainda difundidas nos campos da ética teórica e aplicada, provenientes não apenas das disciplinas filosóficas, mas dos domínios de conhecimento constituídos pelas ciências e pelos saberes técnicos. Hoje a bioética assume um estatuto genuinamente filosófico, crítico e emancipatório, com uma abrangência transdisciplinar por natureza, onde filósofos, juristas, médicos e cientistas sociais são chamados a intervir e manter um diálogo permanente. Se uma das acepções mais antigas da Ética é a de ser sinônimo de morada, modo de vida e habitação, este artigo pretende revisitar essa tradição para dedicar-se às tarefas e desafios dum novo e ainda tardio enfrentamento. Aqui, o leitor se deparará com reflexões sobre ética filosófica e agudos questionamentos de filosofia política e do direito, sempre atreladas às perspectivas de natureza genuinamente oriundas da biopolítica e da bioética para assim repensar a identidade do humano. Abstract The contemporary impels us to resolve those issues still widespread in the fields of theoretical and applied ethics, not only from the philosophical disciplines, but the domains of knowledge made by science and the technical knowledge. Today bioethics takes a genuinely philosophical status, critical and emancipatory, with a transdisciplinary scope by nature, where philosophers, lawyers, doctors and social scientists are called to intervene and maintain a permanent dialogue. If one of the oldest meanings of Ethics is to be synonymous with dwelling, housing and living way, this article intends to revisit this tradition to devote to the tasks and challenges of a new and still later confrontation. Here, the player will be faced with reflections on philosophical ethics and acute questions of political philosophy and law, always tied to genuinely arising nature prospects of biopolitics and bioethics order to rethink the identity of the human.Keywords: Ethics; biopolitics; bioethics; Human life.
