Resumo: | The evaluation is an important component of teaching planning, from it it is possible to verify results and based on these better adapt the continuity of this process. In swimming, the evaluation is usually performed subjectively, without using documentary criteria and without record of results, being thus difficult to reproduce at different moments and for different subjects. In this way, the purpose of this study was to understand how the evaluation of learning in swimming has been carried out and from there to elaborate evaluation instruments for the crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly swimming, that were based on figures, of quick application, and instantaneous production of diagnoses, that could be used both in pedagogical practice and in the area of research. The present dissertation is divided in three articles. Article 1, a systematic review, aimed to identify the characteristics and methods of evaluation that have been proposed or used in the literature. From the results of article 1 articles 2 and 3 were elaborated, where evaluation tools of learning for swim crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly were elaborated and tested. In article 1 it was observed the qualitative evaluation of learning stage of the swimming is not so much discussed, few works suggest ways of checking, those that do it suggest lists of evaluation that are turned mainly for swim crawl checks, leaving a gap on the assessment of other swimming. In addition, all the proposed assessment instruments were descriptive and extensive, becoming difficult to apply to day-to-day swimming lessons that usually have large classes and little time available for checking, which makes frequently assessments performed subjectively and without documentary record. Based on this, it followed articles 2 and 3, in which evaluation instruments composed of figures were elaborated and tested for the swim crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. The validity of content, objectivity and reliability of the evaluative lists were verified. The results obtained indicated that all suggested lists have content validity. In addition, inter- and intra-rater analyzes of all the lists reflected statistically significant results, presenting concordance levels that varied from "reasonable" to "strong", according to the interpretation proposed by Landis and Koach (1971). So, it can be ensured that all the evaluation instruments suggested have validity of content, objectivity and reliability, being useful the evaluation of large groups both in the research area and in the area of education. It is believed that the results of this study may contribute to the understanding of how qualitative assessments in swimming has been done, and also contribute, from the availability of appropriate checking instruments, to do verifications based on documentary criteria and applicable to large groups, cooperating for the development of the educational area and research |

It is believed that the results of this study may contribute to the understanding of how qualitative assessments in swimming has been done, and also contribute, from the availability of appropriate checking instruments, to do verifications based on documentary criteria and applicable to large groups, cooperating for the development of the educational area and researchA avaliação é componente importante do planejamento de ensino, a partir dela é possível verificar resultados e com base nesses, melhor adequar a continuidade desse processo. Made available in DSpace on 2021-01-05T18:49:48Z (GMT).
