Resumo: This research aims to present possibilities of Arts Teaching in the context of rehabilitation of disabled people. The scenario for the research is the Sarah Hospital de Reabilitação Chain, Rio de Janeiro Unit. The reflections and issues that emerge in the text come primarily from the professional practice of the researcher as an Arts teacher at the Sarah Hospital de Reabilitação Chain, Rio de Janeiro Unit, for approximately five years. Another source for the writing come from the contributions of patients and professionals involved in this context. This research was motivated by the perception of the poetic making as an affective and motivational tool in the process of rehabilitation of disabled people.
