The present study discusses the place of the Mental Health Outpatient Clinic in the Psychosocial Care Network, considering the importance of this device in the articulation with other network devices, in view of the changes introduced by the Psychiatric Reform. This discussion has been put in place since 2011 when the Ministry of Health established Portaria 3088 that establishes the Network of Psychosocial Attention (RAPS). In this ordinance, the Ambulatory is not included as a device of the Network, but this service has a history of reception and treatment of a mental health demand in the Municipality and is effectively present and active in several territories. From an examination of the configurations that this device assumes, from the traditional outpatient clinic with medical hegemony, to those that incorporate the transformations introduced by the Psychiatric Reform, we intend to discuss the importance of the work developed in Ambulatories, privileging the clinic of the subject as a form of guide the support of its place in the network.
