O entre-tecer do sentido: contribuições para uma psicologia social fenomenológica a partir de Jean-Paul Sartre e Paul Ricoeur

Resumo: The thesis proposes to investigate the contributions brought by Jean-Paul Sartre and Paul Ricoeur to a phenomenological social psychology, especially regarding the elaboration of theoretical and methodological tools for understanding human existence. Although each author has traced a singular path, a concern that runs through the work of both is the conception that the "weaving" of the senses that guide human actions arises from a complex and dynamic "between": between past and future, between immanence and transcendence, between freedom and its limits, between the lived and the narrated, between the philosophical and the literary. In Sartre's understanding of subjectivity there is a constant tension between freedom and facticity, and is important to take into consideration how each subject incarnates the universal values of his time from the unique way in which he perceives them. The theme of the relationship between the lived and the narrated is present both in his philosophical reflections on the ego - when narrating emerges as a way of establishing an "order" that lived experience does not offer - as in his reflections on the biographical construction - by emphasizing the implication of the writer in ordering the events. In Ricoeur's understanding of subjectivity, seeking to apprehend embodied and temporal human action, his fundamental proposal is to reflect on the importance of the works of culture in the development of the "hermeneutics of the self". In particular, his emphasis on the articulations between time and narrative lead to a dynamic perspective of identity, seen as an act of composition of an intrigue by the joint of what is diverse and fragmented into units of meaning. In the course of his work, Sartre develops a methodological proposal that seeks to apprehend the subject as a totalization in progress, recognizing that the research undertaken is part of a larger process of totalization, which implies aesthetic and ethical choices. Ricoeur's methodological proposal seeks to "think together" different traditions of thought, conceiving the interpretation of works of culture as something that involves the "thin dialectic" between explaining and understanding. From Sartre's point of view, the imaginary maintains a constant relationship with the real, so that the phenomenological project of understanding concrete existence can be made possible both by the philosophical way, through notions, and by the literary way, through the experimentation of new configurations of language. In his work, Ricoeur argues that the suspension of the reference of direct descriptive discourse allows the reader to find in the works of fiction new "lenses" to understand lived experience and allows the philosophical interpretation to discover new ways to elucidate human reality

Embora cada autor tenha trilhado um percurso singular, uma preocupação que perpassa a obra de ambos é a concepção de que o tecer dos sentidos que orientam as ações humanas surge de um complexo e dinâmico entre : entre o passado e o futuro, entre a imanência e a transcendência, entre a liberdade e seus limites, entre o vivido e o narrado, entre o filosófico e o literário. No que concerne à compreensão de subjetividade em Sartre, há uma constante tensão entre liberdade e facticidade, sendo importante considerar de que maneira cada existente encarna os valores universais de sua época a partir do modo singular com que os apreende. A temática da relação entre o vivido e o narrado se faz presente tanto em suas reflexões filosóficas sobre o ego quando o narrar surge como modo de estabelecer uma ordem que o próprio vivido não oferece , quanto em suas reflexões sobre a construção biográfica ao ressaltar a implicação do escritor no ordenamento dos fatos que marcam o devir temporal de um outro existente. No que se refere à compreensão de subjetividade em Ricoeur, buscando apreender a ação humana corporificada e temporal, sua proposta fundamental é refletir sobre a importância das obras da cultura no desenvolvimento de uma hermenêutica de si . Em especial, sua ênfase se volta para as articulações entre tempo e narrativa, que conduzem a uma perspectiva dinâmica da identidade, vista como ato configurante de composição de uma intriga pela reunião do que é diverso e fragmentado em unidades de sentido. Em seu percurso, Sartre desenvolve uma proposta metodológica que busca apreender o existente enquanto totalização em andamento, reconhecendo que a investigação empreendida insere-se em um processo de totalização mais amplo, que implica fazer escolhas estéticas e éticas. Já no que se refere à proposta de Ricoeur, desenvolve-se um método que busca pensar conjuntamente diferentes tradições de pensamento, concebendo a interpretação das obras da cultura como algo que envolve a dialética fina entre explicar e compreender. Na perspectiva de Sartre, o imaginário mantém uma constante relação com o real, de modo que o projeto fenomenológico de compreensão da existência concreta pode ser viabilizado tanto pela via filosófica, através de noções, quanto pela via literária, através da experimentação de novas configurações de linguagem.
