The goal in this work is "to draw the functions", that is, to understand the geometric aspect of some types of functions by observing the process of constructing graphs and its particularities and complexities. The content of present dissertation is addressed to high school students, with the goal of improving the analysis of the behavior of an algebraic object, giving by an expression, from the geometric point of view. Although Algebra makes calculations easier, Geometry helps us to 'see' the problem. For this purpose, we will use mathematical instruments which help in constructing and transforming graphs, especially the symmetries and derivatives, and having as an important ally to this methodology the software of Geogebra, helping to visualize and manipulate the graphs of the functions involved in this work, observing quickly how variations occur in the graphs of some functions.
