O trabalho do Orientador Educacional na Rede Municipal de Duque de Caxias: limites e possibilidades de atuação na Equipe Diretiva para uma Gestão Democrática

This research aims at Educational Orientation in the Teaching Network of the Municipality of Duque de Caxias, starting from the assumption that the relationship between work and education focuses not only on professional performance, but also on the training of educators. Educational Guidance is historically exercised by pedagogues and, over time, has undergone transformations to meet the different models of education and society that present themselves. In this context, the objective is to analyze which alterations and obstacles found by the Educational Guidance to articulate in its praxis the specific attributions of the function with its integration in the school management, as a member of the Directive Team, in order to contribute to the effective the Democratic Management. In the course of the chapters of this essay, it was proposed, firstly, to make a brief historical account of Educational Guidance in Brazil, thus contributing to the analysis of the current National Curricular Guidelines for the Pedagogy Course and its implications in the Education Guidance of the municipality at the heart of this research . In a second moment, we sought to analyze the concept of Educational Guidance, emphasizing its political and pedagogical relevance. Finally, both the specific attributions of the Educational Advisor in the School and his role in the Directive Team were listed, relating them and investigating their contribution to the achievement of a democratic management. In order to reach the proposed analysis, work was marked as the central axis of society, explaining its historically constructed relationship with education. It was chosen as a theoretical basis by historical materialism, understanding that political and social relations are dialectical, having the totality, mediation, essence / appearance and contradiction as the guiding categories of this research. The references of analysis refer to the bibliographic productions of Dermeval Saviani, with contributions by Florestan Fernandes, Luiz Pereira, Ellen Whood, Ricardo Antunes, Geraldo Augusto Pinto, Harry Braverman, Vitor Paro, Giseli Barreto da Cruz, Selma Garrido Pimenta, Mirian Paúra Gruinspun, among others. As a result of this work, it can be affirmed that Educational Guidance is not extinct as it can be inferred by common sense, but that it undergoes profound and structural transformations, which makes it urgent and possible, despite the limits imposed on education and to society itself, re-signify its praxis so that it can contribute to the effective implementation of democratic management.
