Os sentidos da Promoção da Saúde no contexto escolar: da reforma sanitária ao neoliberalismo

Resumo: Health Promotion is a socially relevant topic that can be addressed by Physical Education teachers. Health can focus on biological theories, or extend its field of vision, to a multifactorial character, involving various humanities, health and social sciences, among them the discipline Physical Education. The aim objective is to identify the meanings attributed to the term Health Promotion by students in the 9th grade of elementary school and the 3rd year of high school in a private school unit in the Baixada Fluminense region of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with open and closed questions, answered by the students, which dealt with the theme of Health Promotion. For data analysis of the answers, the Laurence Bardin Content Analysis was used, as well as a basis. This work focused on the following themes: the neoliberal doctrine evidenced contributions from the area of Applied Social Sciences, Brazilian Health Reform and Health Promotion at school This paper was submitted to the Ethics Committee on Research in Human Beings of the Pedro Ernesto University Hospital (CEP/HUPE). The results of this study found that the meanings attributed to Health Promotion are predominantly from the biological point of view, reinforcing the importance of active lifestyle, individual behaviors and the influence of the neoliberal model of the capitalist system on health promotion, without considering the relevance of the social determinants of health described in the 1988 Federal Constitution. and in Law 8080/90

A saúde pode ter seu enfoque em teorias biológicas, ou estender seu campo de visão, para um caráter multifatorial, envolvendo várias ciências humanas, de saúde e sociais, dentre elas se insere a disciplina Educação Física. O objetivo geral identificar os sentidos atribuídos ao termo Promoção da Saúde", pelos alunos do 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental e do 3º ano do Ensino Médio de uma unidade escolar da rede particular de ensino da região da Baixada Fluminense do estado do Rio de Janeiro. O instrumento de pesquisa utilizado foi um questionário com questões abertas e fechadas, respondido pelos estudantes, o qual versou sobre o tema da Promoção da Saúde. Para análise de dados das respostas, foi utilizado a Análise de Conteúdo de Laurence Bardin, além de embasamento teórico focado nos seguintes temas: na doutrina neoliberal evidenciada contribuições da área das Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, Reforma Sanitária Brasileira e a Promoção da Saúde na escola. Este trabalho foi submetido ao Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa em Seres Humanos do Hospital Universitário Pedro Ernesto (CEP/HUPE).
