Resumo: This is a study of the lexical choices made by writer Clarice Lispector in her short stories to speak about the colors related to the human body. The final objective is the production of an analog chromatic vocabulary from those words. The principal corpus is the brazilian edition from Todos os contos by Benjamim Moser, published in 2016, that brings together all short stories written by the brazilian author of ukrainian origin. To develop the study, this research uses as the main theoretical basis the Systemic Functional Linguistics by Michael Halliday, a theorie that conceive the language as an instrument of social interaction. This theory articulates with two others: The language of evaluation by James Robert Martin and Peter White, which deals with the presence of the author in the text, and the Teoria da Iconicidade Verbal by Darcilia Simões, which addresses iconic, symbolics and indicatives aspects of the text. This work has the objective to elaborate an analog chromatic vocabular which can offer an expansion of lexical stock to those who reads it and, in addition, interpret Clarice Lispector’s short stories from a lexicographic and lexicological perspective.

O objetivo final é a elaboração de um vocabulário cromático analógico dessas palavras. O corpus principal é a edição Todos os contos, organizada por Benjamim Moser, lançada em 2016, que reúne todos os contos da autora brasileira de origem ucraniana. Para desenvolver o estudo, a pesquisa utiliza como base teórica principal a Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional de Michael Halliday, uma teoria que concebe a língua como instrumento de interação social. Esta, por sua vez, se articula com outras duas teorias: o Sistema de Avaliatividade de James Robert Martin e Peter White, que trata da presença do autor no texto, e a Teoria da Iconicidade Verbal de Darcilia Simões, que aborda aspectos icônicos, simbólicos e indiciais do texto.
