Mesclagem conceptual em postagens multimodais virtuais da UDD

In this cognitive-based research, are analyzed multimodal productions published in a virtual page, known as Uerj of depression (UDD), by undergraduate students of the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), following the assumptions of the conceptual blending framework (or Conceptual Integration) as well as other concepts of Cognitive Linguistics and concepts of multimodality and humor. We have selected ten posts for analysis, which showed the blending activation, since our goal is to demonstrate how the blending process can describe the interpretation and significance of posts in UDD and what knowledge are accessed by users during the interpretation of those posts. Thus, a criterion for selecting the posts, besides the content relating text and image, was the presence of comment(s) that showed a convergence of interpretation of administrators and page followers and the researcher. The analysis revealed the adequacy of the conceptual integration for the conceptualization of the posts, due to the possibility of describing analogies between different domains, underlying the contextual information, about the daily life of the university shared by the UDD users, and socio-cultural, as the knowledge about several areas that were taken to make the posts. The selected posts demonstrated the full creative potential of using visual and textual language in the construction of multimodal texts, dynamically constructed by the integration of the photo mounts, published by the moderators and understood by their followers. It was possible to perceive two strategies in the publication of the multimodal texts: (i) the meaning of the post is constructed from the composition of text and image; And (ii) the meaning is constructed from the relationship between image and legend, posted by the moderator in the header. In both cases, conceptualization emerges from the input elements projected in the blended space, but in the second strategy, when image and text are not integrated into the image of the initial publication, the sense of the multimodal text is established through the elaboration process, starting of the emergent structure of blended space, more abstractly, more procedurally, because the triggers for meaning construction are not initially integrated. The analysis also corroborated the social function of humor, due to the jocular character of the publications about the daily life of the university, portraying difficulties and the events of the UERJ community, whose purpose is to criticize, inform, and advise UDD followers.
