This dissertation analyzed the leisure associativism of Santa Cruz, as an important space of sociability, clientelism and creation of identities. The concept of identity allows us to understand the ties of sociability, clientelism, conflicts and unequal exchanges. Making the creation of shared customs possible. It is understood by identity the creation of values, sociability ties and worldviews. In short, the composition of social codes mutually recognized among the historical actors of this associative context. This study also focused on the social and political dynamics of various groups that were associated for entertainment and carnival purposes. Another important aspect in this study is to understand the political importance of sociability networks and clientelism with the oligarchies. It is further considered possible sources of funding, internal activities and social composition of recreational groups of Santa Cruz, through case studies of each society. Recognize the trajectories of some member of the groups studied is also one goal of this study.
