Ensino presencial e remoto em tempos de pandemia de covid-19: percepção de egressos do curso de estomaterapia

Resumo: Introduction: The object of the study is the perception of stomatherapy graduates from a public nursing school in the state of Rio de Janeiro on face-to-face teaching and emergency remote teaching, developed during the covid-19 pandemic. Motivation emerged when there was a need to implement remote teaching in order to mitigate the impacts of the serious health crisis triggered by the pandemic and ensure the continuity of the students' teaching-learning process. This abrupt transition generated concerns, namely: What is the perception of the graduates of the specialization course in stomatherapy about face-to-face teaching and emergency remote teaching? And what are the facilities and difficulties of face-to-face teaching and emergency remote teaching according to the perception of graduates of the specialization course in stomatherapy? The general objective of this study was to analyze the perception of graduates of the specialization course in stomatherapy about face-to-face teaching and emergency remote teaching in times of a pandemic, with the specific objectives: to identify the perception of graduates of the stomatherapy course about face-to-face teaching and emergency remote; discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these teaching modalities, in a comparative perspective; discuss the difficulties and facilities experienced in face-to-face teaching and remote teaching in times of a pandemic. Methodology: The study had a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory approach. The participants were graduates of the stomatherapy course at this public institution of higher education in Rio de Janeiro, graduated in the years 2020 and 2021. The data collection technique was the semi-structured individual interview and the IRAMUTEQ® software was used for data processing, specifically the Descending Hierarchical Classification. Results: There was a preference for face-to-face teaching and the advantages and disadvantages of both modalities were listed, such as remote teaching: the impossibility of theoretical-practical activities, difficulties in handling information and communication technologies, little teacher-student, and student-student interaction, in addition to difficulty maintaining attention and concentration. The advantages were the possibility of continuing the teaching-learning process, flexibility of time and place to attend classes, reduction of transportation costs, among others. Conclusion: A possible paradigm shift in the academic field is highlighted, especially in nursing, which is characterized as hybrid teaching in the post-pandemic, especially for stomatherapy, as it contemplates science and practice, indispensable for the development of specific care skills for this field of action. As a limitation of the study, data collection in a single scenario is highlighted, possibly making it impossible to generalize the results.

A motivação emergiu quando se verificou a necessidade de implantar a modalidade remota de ensino a fim de mitigar os impactos da grave crise sanitária desencadeada pela pandemia e garantir a continuidade do processo ensino-aprendizagem dos estudantes. Esta abrupta transição gerou inquietações, a saber: Qual a percepção dos egressos do curso de especialização em estomaterapia sobre o ensino presencial e o ensino remoto emergencial? E quais as facilidades e dificuldades do ensino presencial e do ensino remoto emergencial de acordo com a percepção dos egressos do curso de especialização em estomaterapia? O objetivo geral deste estudo foi analisar a percepção dos egressos do curso de especialização em estomaterapia sobre o ensino presencial e o ensino remoto emergencial em tempos de pandemia, tendo como objetivos específicos: identificar a percepção de egressos do curso de estomaterapia sobre o ensino presencial e remoto emergencial; discorrer sobre as vantagens e desvantagens dessas modalidades de ensino, numa perspectiva comparativa; discutir as dificuldades e facilidades vivenciadas no ensino presencial e no ensino remoto em tempos de pandemia. Metodologia: O estudo teve abordagem qualitativa, descritiva e exploratória. Os participantes foram egressos do curso de estomaterapia desta instituição pública de ensino superior do Rio de Janeiro formados nos anos 2020 e 2021. A técnica de coleta de dados foi a entrevista individual semiestruturada e utilizou-se para processamento dos dados o software IRAMUTEQ®, especificamente a Classificação Hierárquica Descendente. Resultados: Houve preferência pelo ensino presencial e elencou-se vantagens e desvantagens das duas modalidades, como no ensino remoto: a impossibilidade de atividades teórico-práticas, dificuldades no manuseio das tecnologias da informação e comunicação, pouca interação docente-discente e discente-discente, além de dificuldade em manter a atenção e concentração. Obteve-se como vantagens, a possibilidade de continuação do processo ensino aprendizagem, flexibilização de tempo e local para assistir as aulas, diminuição dos custos com locomoção, entre outros. Conclusão: Destaca-se uma possível mudança de paradigma no campo acadêmico, especialmente em enfermagem, o qual se caracteriza como o ensino híbrido no pós-pandemia, especialmente para estomaterapia por contemplar ciência e prática, indispensáveis para o desenvolvimento das habilidades do cuidar específicas para este campo de atuação.
