This dissertation aims to demonstrate the importance of the title in the text, considering it not only as a complement to it, but as an attractive component, capable of capturing the reader's attention at first, thus revealing itself, a strategic and guiding factor for textual interpretation. Another aspect that deserves to be highlighted is that, in addition to having a privileged place, it also keeps the author's subjectivity. In addition, it must preserve a high semantic macrostructure that relates to the content of the writing, showing itself to be interesting and coherent. In this sense, this research intends to use the school space to present students with types of titles, both those that keep a semantic relationship with the text, and those that do not have this clear intertwining, in order to encourage them in the practice of textual production, highlighting the importance of the title and, at the same time, providing mechanisms to expand their creativity, a subject practically not addressed by the Basic Education teacher. For this, the methodology used was qualitative, based on the analysis of theoretical references that helped to support and support the nuances that are part of the entitlement process. The theoretical support of the research presents concepts of authors such as BAKHTIN (1997), who portrays dialogism; in addition to the concept of intertextuality addressed by KOCH (2012). Furthermore, GENETTE's (2009) approach to paratextual elements deserves to be highlighted. It is emphasized that none of the theorists have an in-depth research that deals exclusively with the title, a point that reinforces the innovation regarding the content of this research. Finally, it is noteworthy that the objective is to build a new way of thinking about the title, encouraging Portuguese-speaking teachers to propose activities that arouse not only students' creativity, but also a taste for reading and textual practice. Furthermore, it is expected that the work developed can serve as a basis for other professional areas, such as communication and journalism.
