The right to health of the deaf, the quality and the information in Brazil began to have great prominence, starting with the recognition of Law 10.436 of 2002 and Decree nº 5.626 of 2015 that support the deaf communities in the Country to the right to use the Brazilian Language of Signals - LSB. However, the integration of the deaf is still hampered by the historical prejudice established over the centuries of segregation and the shortage of health professionals qualified to serve this public. The objective of this study is to elaborate a course of introduction to LSB in the distance modality, directed to health professionals as a basic teaching-learning instrument for the qualification in quality care for deaf individuals. Aimed at clarifying the main issues that interfere in the conduct of good health care for the deaf, a questionnaire of 10 questions was applied to 50 health professionals (listeners) of Policlínica Piquet Carneiro / UERJ, and another 10 questions to 50 deaf individuals. The result of the questionnaire applied to health professionals revealed the lack of knowledge about the culture, identity and language of the deaf, accentuating the difficulties faced by deaf individuals in obtaining quality care. The deaf expressed difficulties in accessing health facilities at all stages of care, feeling indignant at not being recognized as citizens with the same right of care. With the obtained data, the programmatic content for the training course in LSB was elaborated, and a virtual booklet, exhibited in the Telessaúde site with clinical approach to stimulate doctors in the care of the deaf and to verify the acceptance by the general public. As a result of the video available, it was verified that the opinions were positive with suggestions regarding the proposition of the course of LIBRAS. The material obtained from the research was used to improve the Introduction to LSB Course for Health Professionals in the distance modality, which will be made available as an extension course, contributing to improve the knowledge of the deaf and LSB by the professional. Health care and assisting in providing quality care to deaf patients, and enforcing the LSB legislation.
