Resumo: This paper aims to identify and present the social conditions of men and women of colonial society and their performances in faith healing and sorcery- the healers were important characters in the Brazilian colony- and also, understand the Holy Office activities during the third Visitation Inquisitorial in the State of the Grand Para, during the period that spanned the years 1763-1769, it showed different characteristics of the previous visitations due to the moment of weakness it faced, and if this fact caused reverberations in action in the colonial space. Also, point out that meeting imaginary, beliefs and different traditions in the colony created a new memory, new knowledge and new practices. The exchange of knowledge, directly or indirectly, was fundamental in the construction of what would be the Brazilian nation. It also seeks to present and clarify the issues relating to the inquisitorial processes of individuals who were accused of faith healing and witchcraft, by presentating the remaining inquisitorial documentary sources of this period.

Além disso, apontar que encontro de imaginários, crenças e tradições distintas criou na colônia uma nova memória, um novo conhecimento e novas práticas. A troca de conhecimentos, direta ou indireta, foi fundamental para a construção, do que veria a ser, a nação brasileira.
