The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate women as mothers who work as flight attendants perceive and organize their daily lives, addressing the experiences and practices in relation to spatial and temporal organization of work in aviation. The relevance of this issue arises in the specific temporal and spatial organization of work, peculiarities regarding the management of everyday life and possible influences of gender issues in the working world. This study makes a dialogue with the discussion of time and work. Draws on the mapping method, mothers were interviewed six women flight attendants, who have on average 34 years of age and children aged 3-15 years. Most of the respondents had entered the aviation still very young, have more than 10 years in the profession and all are living in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The speeches reveal other ways of managing the home and motherhood, other models of relationship with children, family and friends and a conception of work that makes us confront what we conceive as painful and generator suffering from these experiences that take place in territories existential sparsely populated
