Resumo: This research aims to analyze the representation of female superheroes that lead current animated series; investigating how such productions question, copy or even reinforce gender stereotypes. The work seeks to make a diagnosis of these types of representations in audiovisual media, especially television (be it public, pay-TV or streaming services), locating evidences in the corpus based on the analysis of images and text, and relating the marketing logic of the culture industry and media culture with the patterns of gender instilled by the patriarchal system of contemporary western societies. In order to identify what message is being conveyed to the public, who can apprehend social behaviors and stereotypes from the models disseminated in the images and the plots, and understand how the female protagonism is currently constructed in these narratives, we selected episodes of three series, produced in different countries and broadcast internationally in the last decade Winx Club; Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir; Avatar: The Legend of Korra

Busca-se fazer um diagnóstico deste tipo de representações na mídia audiovisual, especialmente a televisão (seja ela aberta, por assinatura ou serviços de streaming), localizando evidências no corpus a partir de análise de imagens e texto, e relacionando a lógica mercadológica da indústria cultural e da cultura da mídia com os padrões de gênero inculcados no sistema patriarcal das sociedades ocidentais contemporâneas, com base em pesquisa bibliográfica.
